Sneaker Pallets: Authentication, Sizing and Resale Basics

Buying a Nike or Jordan pallet? Learn how to verify authenticity, understand size runs, and price sneakers that actually sell.
Why Sneaker Pallets Are Their Own Game
Footwear pallets behave differently from tool pallets. Demand is driven by model and size rather than specs, buyers are extremely authenticity-conscious, and prices can swing widely between sizes of the same shoe. If you are considering a Nike or Jordan pallet, this guide covers the fundamentals.
Authenticity: The First Question Every Buyer Asks
The sneaker resale market has a counterfeit problem, so buyers ask hard questions. Buying from a liquidation supplier rather than anonymous online sellers is your first layer of protection. When your pallet arrives, verify each pair:
- Box and label: style code on the box label must match the tag inside the shoe
- Stitching and materials: clean, even stitching; correct materials for the model
- Smell and glue: authentic pairs have consistent factory adhesive, not harsh chemical overflow
- Style code lookup: search the code (e.g., a Jordan 1 style number) — it should return the exact colorway
Keep your purchase invoice. Being able to show a documented supply chain is a real selling point with cautious buyers.
Understanding Size Runs
A sneaker pallet's manifest lists models and sizes. Sizes are not equal in value:
- Men's 9–11 are the highest-demand sizes and typically sell first and highest
- Very small and very large sizes sell more slowly but can command premiums from buyers who cannot find them
- Grade school (GS) sizes are a separate market with its own demand curve, especially for Jordans
When you read a manifest, note the size distribution — a pallet heavy in common sizes turns faster.
Pricing Sneakers to Sell
- Check sold prices for the exact model, colorway, and size on eBay and StockX
- Price new-in-box pairs at or slightly below the lowest comparable listing
- Photograph the box label, both shoes, soles, and the interior size tag
- State "brand new in box" clearly and mention your liquidation source
